Visitors with limited mobility
In the months April - September the tower can be visited with an elevator. This elevator is accessible for wheelchairs and walkers, so that everyone can enjoy the view over the city of Utrecht! From April - September it runs daily from 4pm. Take a look at our ticketshop for the most updated schedule.
The Dom Tower and the reception building are not accessible for wheelchair users, hence it is not possible to do a guided tour via the stairs in the Dom Tower.
The Tourist Information Centre is wheelchair-accessible and is situated approximately 250 metres from the entrance of the tower and the bus stop of the no. 2 bus line ('Ringlijn Museumkwartier') run by U-OV.
Guide dogs are welcome.
Blind and visually impaired visitors
Blind and visually impaired visitors can climb the tower together with their sight guide. The sight guide can join the tour free of charge, but we do need to be notified of this in advance.
Hearing-impaired visitors can climb the tower together with a sign language interpreter. The sign language interpreter can join the tour free of charge, but we do need to be notified of this in advance. In addition, we offer an information sheet in Dutch, which hearing-impaired visitors can read themselves when the tour guide is talking.
If you have any questions about our accessibility, or if you want to discuss any special requirements relating to your visit with one of our employees in advance, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on +31 (0)30 236 00 10.
