Visitor’s rules and regulations

  • We warmly welcome you on your visit to the Dom Tower. In the interests of the safety, wellbeing and security of all of our visitors we require that you abide by these Visitor Regulations.

Entry and tickets

  • Climbing the tower is at your own risk
  • The Dom Tower is a historic location. We ask all visitors to treat the building and its surroundings with respect. Visitors are held liable for any damages he or she causes.
  • The Dom Tower can only be visited with a guided tour.
  • The maximum group size is 40 persons. Children under the age of 16 are only allowed to join a tour in company of an adult (18 years and older).  
  • You are not allowed to eat, drink and smoke in the tower.  It is not allowed to throw any object off the tower.  Toilets can be found in the reception building inside the tower.  
  • You must not bring bags or luggage inside the tower. We have private lockers available for bags and luggage.  
  • Instructions by the guide must always be observed.  
  • Show your e-ticket at least 15 minutes before the tour starts at de counter of the Dom Tower at the Tourist Info at Domplein 9. You can bring your ticket in print but you can also show it on you smartphone or tablet computer.  
  • If you like to make use of a discount you have to present your discount pass or voucher at the Domtoren counter. Vouchers will be collected.  
  • The guided tour starts in the Tourist Information centre at Domplein 9. The Tourist centre opens at 12.00 hours on Mondays and Sundays. De guided tour of 12.00 hours will start a few minutes later.
  • A guided tour lasts for approximately one hour, unless stated otherwise.
  • The Dom Tower has the right to deny visitors access to the tower, for example when the visitor is intoxicated or displays unwanted behaviour.    
  • Please turn the sound of you mobile phone off during the tour.  
  • No animals are allowed in the Dom Tower with the exception of an assistance dog.
  • Parents or teachers/chaperones are at all times responsible and answerable for the behaviour of the minors, individuals or groups they bring or are supervising.

Cancellations, changes and refunds

  • Changes in the number of persons or cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before the tour starts. No refunds are made within 24 hours beforehand. No cash refunds are possible, only vouchers.  
  • It is at the visitor’s own expense and risk in case a visitor does not use the purchased ticket.
  • There will be no refund in case of loss or theft of the purchased entrance ticket.
  • If the visitor can’t use the purchased ticket(s) because of circumstances outside the influence of the visitor, restitution may be possible, within the discretion of the management.
  • The reservation only gives access to the booked guided tour. In case the visitor arrives  too late to join this tour it does nog give access to another tour.
